After a intense development and testing, Demona Vosz is proud to announce a complete rework of the PVP system.
We have been closely monitoring your feedback regarding the combat mechanics in PvP Worlds (Noctra, Umbra). We agree with you: the previous mechanism did not sufficiently reward your hard work, making high-level gear feel unimpactful and allowing for unfair griefing.
Starting January 3, 2026, a massive Hotfix will be deployed to address these issues permanently. Here is exactly how the new PVP works:
1. Equipment Now Matters (A LOT)
Previously, PVP only calculated your Base Skills. This is no longer the case.
-Change: Your damage output is now calculated using your Total Stats Skills (Base Stats + Weapon Bonuses + Set Bonuses).
Result: If you have a powerful upgraded sword or a rare bow, you will deal significantly more damage. The Dark Market is relevant again—buy good gear to survive.
2. Defense is No Longer "Useless" in PvP
We heard your complaints that "1000 Defense takes the same damage as 0 Defense". We have spent weeks calibrating a new Damage Mitigation Formula.
Defense now acts as a percentage shield. It doesn't subtract damage flatly; it absorbs it.
Our Formula:
What does this mean for you?
* 400 Defense: Absorbs 50% of incoming damage.
* 1,000 Defense: Absorbs ~71% of incoming damage.
* 2,000 Defense: Absorbs ~83% of incoming damage.
Note: You can never reach 100% immunity, but a high-defense Tank will now take a fraction of the damage compared to a naked player.*
3. "Fair Play" Level Gap Protection
To stop high-level players from griefing new players:
* The Rule: You can only attack a player if their Level is at least 50% of your own Level.
* Example: If you are Level 400, you can only attack players Level 200 or higher.
* Example: If you are Level 100, you can only attack players Level 50 or higher.
4. The Red Skull Exception
Justice must be served. If a player has a Red Skull, the Level Protection does not apply.
A Level 400 player CAN attack a Level 10 Red Skull player. If you choose the Vanya Assassin life, you lose the protection of the Fair Play rules.
5. Retaliation Update
If a low-level player attacks a high-level, the Automatic Retaliation will now use the hight-level full equipment power. You might be killed instantly by the counter-attack.
To celebrate this new era of combat in Vanya, we are opening a new PvP World: Umbra on January 4nd
See you on Vanya on January 3!
BONUS
We are also excited to announce Cross-Worlds Rivals: a permanent, scheduled Guild Battle Event that connects ALL servers—including Non-PVP Worlds.
For the first time, Guilds from different worlds will face each other in a Safe Arena (no death penalty).
Glory & Rewards: Winners will bring exclusive rewards and buffs back to their home world.
The Cross-Worlds Rivals is expected in February
More information about our content update The Deep Dragon and the Rivals will be posted soon. Stay tuned!
Dear Developers, is the new server launching on January available on Google Play Store?

Make levels matter too so that low-level players can't easily take down high-level players that are hundreds of levels apart between them. A level 200 player focused on pub training right now can easily take down a level 600 player who is focusing on getting better gears.

Blixt, I think that was somewhat covered? You can't attack anyone that's over half your level, so a lvl 200 person can't attack a lvl 600 (but a lvl 300 person can).
@Luana, Is the Retaliation system another way of describing the new gear-based pvp calculations? What's different about Retaliation v. regular attacks? And how does the Retaliation system work if low-levelled players can attack players 'at least' twice their level?
(Is it a translation error, with at least supposed to be 'at most'? At least -> lvl 50 can attack anyone lvl 100+, but not anyone lvl 99 or lower. ; At most -> lvl 50 can attack anyone up to lvl 100, but not anyone lvl 101+)
Thank you for your patience in dealing with us, and for the recalculations!

On a second read through - the 50% rule is for the higher leveled players attacking low levels only.
So a low levelled player _can_ attack any higher leveled player they want, no matter the level difference -> they'll have to contest the high leveled player's base stats, equipment stats, and set bonus stats. Plus the HP difference per level, which with HP items and Defense levels % reduction can grow further. Seems fair?
A higher leveled player can customize their equipment stats before Idle Hunting. Since these stats can be overcome by a lot of Pub grinding, it'll make everyone at least do some Pub training instead of 100% dedicated Idle Hunting for gear.
